Catapult Room After Kamikaze Attack, 1944
The catapult room is open to the sea after hit from kamikaze on USS Cabot (CVL-28) on November 25, 1944. This damage was from a kamikaze that hit the side of the ship and went into the sea before exploding. If the plane had penetrated Cabot and then exploded, damage would have been far worse.
