USS Cabot (CVL-28) "Homeward Bound" Pennant

cabot

USS Cabot (CVL-28) was loaned to the Spanish Navy in 1967. She was sold outright in 1972. During her Spanish Navy serives she flew Harrier jump jets and helicopters. In 1989 the carrier was returned to the United States, with the hope she would make a memorial. Unfortunately money wasn't able to be found and the ship was scrapped in 2001, the last of the straight deck carriers. Spanish Navy Dedalo (PH-01) insignia, 1967-1989.
